Thank god for stupid people!
I know that I have only been on the job for 2 weeks, but I have made some observations. I truly believe that if it weren't for the stupid people in this world I would probably not have a job now. I'm not talking about the company I work for or anyone I work with, no. But, I am actually talking about the people that work with, use, and sometimes try to break into our machines. These individuals just don't realize that through their ignorance they are making me money. When you receive a call and the details given you involve a nurse kicking a machine and that machine subsequently failing, this makes me money. When a LPN doesn't understand that a touchscreen doesn't react well to a pen being jabbed into the membrane, this makes me money. When a sorry ass thief thinks that a medstation looks like an easy target to break into and finds out that they are not, this makes me money. So, far be it from me to complain about the dumbing down of society, this is what makes me money. So in our everyday life in and around the machines we work with, remember this. That bit of frustration that you take out on the inanimate machine you are standing in front of, makes somebody some money. Thank you and, keep up the good work!

Well I'm back from my first week of training with Pyxis. It has all gone rather smoothly and I think that I will like the job quite a bit. My training is about 3 hours from home in Gaffney, South Carolina. It is a pretty small town but it is centrally located to a ton of hospitals stretching from Charlotte, NC to Asheville, NC and everywhere inbetween. The territory is pretty beutiful if you like mountain driving and a whole lot of it at that. I still have 2 more weeks to train then I'll be thrown out on my own. I should get my ID number this week and I'll start ordering the huge amount of parts that I am supposed to have so that they will beat my house when I start working. I just wanted to make this a quick post to update those of you that still stop by ocassionally. Thanks and I'll post again later.

I DID IT!!!! I have finally moved myself out of career purgatory and in to career heaven. I have given office depot my two weeks notice and have hotel reservations to start my training in Greenville South Carolina on the 26th of July. I am now an Affiliate Field Service Technician with a company called Pyxis / Cardinal Health. Check out the site if you want to see what I'll be working on. The pay is great and I don't have to move. I hate to move. I do travel though and my territory covers from Asheville NC across Northeast TN and a portion of Southwest VA. All in all I believe its around 90 different facilities I'll service. For once in my life I don't care if I work for a company that makes a crappy product (I'm not saying its a crappy product though). The more times I have to go fix something the more money I make!!! I just wanted to update everyone since it has been a long whole since I last posted. So till I post again...(Tyler enjoy the dry heat) Seeya....
